The "Golden Angel" town house is a cultural monument built on the slopes of Hradčany in the Prague heritage zone.

The building is situated in Malá Strana (originally the Lesser Town of Prague) in Thunovská St. at the Palace Stairs, which run from Hradčanské náměstí to the gates of Prague Castle.

The first mention of the building dates to 1457, when the Lesser Town Council gave ruins to a certain Martin "Cvoček", who then built a small house at the site.

Beginning in 1489 the house passed from one owner to another; over the centuries numerous construction modifications were made to the building. Today's appearance of the historical house date to the latest reconstructions performed in the 19th century.

Owners of the house included, for example, Prior Matouš Děpolt, the merchant Augustin, imperial stuccoer Mikuláš Löw, Anna Kateřina of Martinice, Ludmila Eva Františka of Kolovraty, surgeon Petr Würtz and miller Václav Tůma.

The building is currently uninhabitable; project documentation is being prepared for the total reconstruction of the house to enable its revitalization and full use while preserving the historically valuable parts.
